Life Sciences: NASA Life Sciences Platform Team Nominated for the RNASA Foundation's Stellar Award

March 2024

The NASA Life Sciences Platform Team was recently nominated for the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement (RNASA) Foundation’s prestigious Stellar Award. The nomination is “recognition of the respect the team has earned for its hard work and exceptional accomplishments” in developing the platform that hosts the NASA Life Sciences Portal (NLSP).

NLSP offers visitors a way to explore over 30 years of research collected by the NASA Human Research Program. The platform empowers researchers, clinicians, and scientists to make innovative discoveries, improve patient care, and advance the understanding of biological processes.

Stellar Award winners will be announced at the Thirty-sixth Annual Space Awards Gala, to be held in Houston, Texas, on April 26, 2024. A distinguished evaluation panel selects individual and team Stellar Award winners based on whose accomplishments hold the greatest promise for furthering future activities in space. The platform’s Chief Architect and Project Manager, John Dunn (USRA), will represent the team at the Space Awards Gala.

Congratulations to the entire NASA Life Sciences Platform Team for the honor of receiving a Stellar Award nomination. The RNASA Foundation has given awards and celebrated nominees as heroes of the American space program annually since 1987. Learn more about the RNSA Foundation and the Stellar Award here.
